The Otjiwa Collection is dedicated to the protection and conservation of endangered species and wildlife through ongoing research and hands-on conservation efforts.

We are seeking passionate and dedicated volunteers to assist with various wildlife monitoring, research, and management tasks. Volunteers will play a key role in helping to protect and conserve species such as rhinos, leopards, hyenas, pangolins, and other wildlife in our care.

Volunteers will be provided with comfortable housing near the reserve’s core areas.

The accommodations will include private or shared rooms with necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. Each with its own bathroom.

A dedicated chef and support staff will be available to prepare nutritious and balanced meals for volunteers.

Special dietary needs will be accommodated upon request.

Volunteers will receive a comprehensive orientation upon arrival, including training on wildlife monitoring, safety protocols, and animal care.

Ongoing support and guidance will be provided throughout the duration of their stay to ensure a rewarding and safe experience.

Our team of staff, including wildlife experts, researchers, and caretakers, will provide guidance and supervision to volunteers during their tasks.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to engage with experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in wildlife conservation.

Volunteers can participate in the program for a minimum of 2 weeks to a maximum of 3 months, depending on availability and program needs.

Longer-term volunteers are encouraged, as they can make a more significant impact.

By participating in this volunteer program, individuals will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on wildlife conservation efforts while gaining valuable experience in the field.

Volunteers will help us protect endangered species, manage wildlife habitats, and contribute to our ongoing research.

Your support will be instrumental in ensuring the survival of some of the world’s most vulnerable species.

We look forward to welcoming volunteers who share our commitment to conservation and wildlife protection.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit such a remarkable place. My family and I stayed at the Bush Villa Lodge, newly introduced in May, and it was nothing short of extraordinary.

We stayed in one of the chalets at Otjiwa in July 2025. The chalet, though looking quite basic on the outside, was beautiful on the inside. The lodge itself is stunning and has excellent meals and a nice atmosphere.
